Born in Manchester, Amanda Louise Bennett began getting inspired by music at a very early age.
The music that filled the rooms at christmas was where her love of music began.
With help from her grandad, she tought herself how to read music music at the tender age of 5 and since has nurtured and developed these skills to produce sweet and harmonious sounds.
Amanda got involved in the Oldham theatre workshop at the age of 11.
She took part in the famous 'James and the Giant Peach' during her time here.
She began to love the audience and therefore her confidence and stage presence grew stronger.
At 13 Amanda started private singing lessons and since has achieved a grade 5 singing certificate whilst also perfoming with the Owen Wynne chorale in Sale.
During school at 14 she began playing drums and played to a grade 8 standard within 6 months of starting playing. At 15 she took her GCSEs in music and received a 'B'.
After leaving school in 2003 with 11 GCSE’s (9 A-C) Including an 'A' in Art, Amanda started studying at Mancat college in Manchester.
This gave her a greater look into the music industry. She studied upto a grade 5 in music theory and continued playing upto and past a grade 8 standard on drums. Amanda was involved in numerous bands while in college and performed countless times. Throughout this time she was also apart of a Gospel choir purely to fulfill her desire of singing.
As part of the course she managed and successfully completed a tour of the North West, playing at Booth Hall Hospital, schools and colleges.
Amanda recieved a BTEC ND in popular music at merit standard also recieving a level 2 in Maths.
Amanda continued studying music at Salford university alongside recording and producing her own music at home and in Ireland.
She is currently studying for a grade 5 music theory certificate in order to take a grade 8 singing examination, Which she is hoping to take in the very near future.
Further to this She is hoping to take a course on performing arts at BTEC NA level to widen her horizons.
Amanda has been involved and inspired by all types of music.
most of my life is music but apart from that i drive, i like to travel, i want an otter, i cant really cook, i have learnt how to judge people! i know most people can lie quite good.. i can not. and i am happy.
